CLASSES
Grounded in the RIE® Educaring Approach and Pikler Principles, Slow & Steady offers a Calm, unhurried, and predictable environment where young children feel safe to explore in their own way and at their own pace.
Children engage with open-ended play objects and simple gross-motor structures, supporting natural, self-initiated development.
Caregivers are invited to slow down, sit back, and enjoy being present—practicing sensitive observation, cultivating authentic connection, and appreciating their child’s growing self-confidence and capabilities.
What to Expect in a Typical Class
Each session follows a gentle, reliable rhythm that helps both children and adults settle in comfortably.
Uninterrupted Play
"The Child is the script writer, director and actor"
Children explore freely in a physically and emotionally safe environment, which is set up to support focus, curiosity, and natural motor development.
Sensitive Observation
"Do less, enjoy more"
Caregivers are invited to sit back and observe—without directing or interrupting play.
We often take 5 - 10 minutes of quiet observation to truly watch what children choose to do.
Gentle Facilitation
Selective Intervention
Facilitator step in only when safety or support is necessary, facilitator offering modeling around respectful communication, conflict navigation, and boundary setting.
